Book Sources

To locate a particular book on Mexico, consult Books in Print at your local library, ask a bookstore to do a computer search by title or author, or, if you have internet access, you can do the search yourself at one of the suggested websites below.

If you're a serious reader, request catalogs from regional and university presses in the American Southwest and California (ask your librarian for addresses). Most publications on Mexico are considered regional or special-interest and won't be distributed nationwide. Index of Periodicals is another excellent source of information on Mexico. This reference source lists virtually every magazine article ever written. Don’t overlook used bookstores; I recently found a dusty first edition (signed by the author) of a fine 1930s travel book on Mexico for $3.

•Biblioteca digital (Digital Library), <http://sunsite.unam.mx/biblioteca.htm>. UNAM’s extensive links to online books, magazines, museums, newspapers and more. Most are in Spanish.
