This shot was taken on the final day, when the main group visited the Mogollon Cave. Sick as a dog from a typhoid relapse, I walked out with Dot, Teresa and two others. A Tarahumara couple from Wacahipare overtook us on the trail just below the rim. Manuel asked me, "How old are you?" When I told him to make a guess, he stared at me for a while, then said, "Sixty?.... seventy? .... EIGHTY???" I told him that although I might feel and look like an eighty year old, I wasn't there quite yet.
